Library Cards and Borrowing Privileges

The Oconee Regional Library is a participating member of PINES, Public Information Network for Electronic Services, a consortium of 44 Georgia public libraries sharing a common circulation system which gives patrons access to library services in Georgia with one card.


PINES cards are free to all Georgia residents and cardholders have borrowing privileges at all participating libraries.  Patrons must complete the library card application and provide proof of address.  Patrons under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian co-sign for them.  Patrons receive a wallet sized card and a “key ring” card.


Users may request materials from any PINES library to be delivered to their home library and materials may be returned to any PINES library.

The PINES card is accepted at public libraries in the areas indicated in green or you may like to view the list of libraries in the PINES system.

            Loan Periods

                        10 books – 2 week loan

                        5 audio books – 2 week loan

                        5 videos – 2 week loan

                        20 cents a day fines on all items


Patrons may renew materials or view their personal library accounts by using their library card ID number and a PIN that may be obtained, in person, at the library.
