About the Heritage Center

The Dublin-Laurens Heritage Center strives to collect, preserve, and make accessible genealogical and historical information that is relevant to residents of the 5-county Oconee Regional Library System, including Laurens, Johnson, Washington, Treutlen and Glascock counties. An emphasis is placed on Georgia and those counties that surrounding our service area. However, sources from other Georgia counties and surrounding states are also included in our collection.

A searchable online database of newspapers for the Dublin-Laurens County area. Dates range from 1901 to 2008. (Some issues are missing). Only accessible within the library.
The Laurens County Library is a FamilySearch Affiliate Library, which allows patrons to access FamilySearch’s vast collection of digital images and indexes whenever they are in the building. You can access this collection by using any of the library’s public computers or by connecting your personal device to the library’s public WiFi connection.
